1 · About this unit
The GRECIAN‑458 produces marine fog by the controlled disappointment of
warm air. It has no user-serviceable poetry inside. If your unit has begun
to mean things, stop, ground yourself, and consult §4.
This manual assumes the operator is unqualified, unsupervised,
and slightly damp. All figures are typical of a unit that has already failed once.

4 · If the unit has begun to mean things
Do not make eye contact with the outlet nozzle.
Disconnect the interpretive relay (olive lead, terminal 78‑AC‑12).
Speak to the unit only in shipping manifests and part numbers.
If the fog spells a word, write it down, then do not read it aloud.
Mail the paper to the address on the back plate. This is Marina's problem now.
CAUTION — A GRECIAN unit that has achieved melancholy is out
of warranty. Tasteful sorrow is explicitly a customer-induced condition. See
the banned-register clause on the shipping crate.
